The office manager said Merry Christmas and would pay the storage fee till Jan 9th. I told Scout I should not have to pay the storage as it was their error. I was not happy with that as we changed the delivery date and Scout made an error and loaded our things and the driver put our belongings in storage. Scout advised they could put our things in a storage unit here in Minnesota but we would have to pay the storage fee. I contacted the office at Scout and Heidi helped me and tried to say the truck was loaded the week before the 20th, which was not true as the driver advised me that on Dec. 20th I received a phone call from the driver that he was in Montana and would be delivering our thing on Dec 22nd. On December 14th I changed the delivery date with Scout to January 9th, 2019. I had Scout movers move my belongings from Lynnwood, WA to Brooklyn Park, MN this year. If you've been scammed by them, take action! Make sure the pain they feel is larger than the money they scammed from you. An hopefully the DOT does something about their deceptive business practices and outright fraud! I wish I had before I hired them and got scammed! But I'm putting in a dispute with the bank charge, so hopefully I'll get the fraudulent charge reversed. ![]() You can also just google, "budget van lines reviews" and see tons of bad things about them and add more negative reviews. Just click the BBB link on their website and file the complaint. ![]() If anyone else suffers fraud at the hands of Budget Van Lines or other fraudulent movers or brokers, here's where you can file a complaint with the department of transportation, fmcsaĪs well as with BBB. I would like to do a class action against them, get our money back, and teach them to be honest moving forward. They should be investigated and put out of business for their corruption! If there are others out there that have resolved this, please let me know. My case was moved up to the manager (Dolores McBride), who refused to help. They said I "waived my right" to refute by paying the extra to get my belongings back. They forced me to pay more to get my belongings and then when the truck arrived and I took photos in front of the driver as proof and sent them in, they refused to do anything. But Estes Sure Move themselves admits the trucks are only about 27 feet (which I have a recording to prove). They charge by how much is left after you load your belongings, subtracting from 28 feet. They use Estes Sure Move, and claim the truck is 28 foot. I have spoken to a number of full service companies for my November move and feel for all the issues with Budget Van Lines I will go with Mayflower.Dishonest, do not use! They charge you for a falsified measurement of linear feet used and hold your belongings hostage until you pay. Just the disrespect their employees have for the customer is enough to find a reputable company. I encourage all folks to read these reviews and choose a better option. I have two more moves this year and next and will NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It was chaotic, disorganized and inconsistent. ![]() We were able to unload in the 24 hrs but then told they couldn't pick up at the time we were given verbally and another additional charge if they came early. If not we would be charged for the extra time. ![]() We were told to accept the delivery the very next day of notification it had arrived and then told we had 24 hours to unload. And at every step wanted to add additional fees and charges. I refused since I had pictures and spoke to my loaders who were willing to sign affidavits of how much space was used. Once it arrived they tried to charge for additional feet. So don't expect to see your property in the 7 day time frame quoted. I left my old home 3 days after the pick up, drive for 4 days to my new location and waited about a week for the delivery to arrive. It took many days to get my belongings to my location. They company was great at first but once I begin the process it became increasingly difficult.
